Getting around the HBO Max app
Want to watch something on HBO Max but aren't sure how to find it? The HBO Max app includes easy ways to find what you're looking for, plus personalized recommendations and a place to save your favorites.
When you first open HBO Max, you're on the Home screen. This is where you'll find popular movies and TV series, along with your Continue Watching list, My List, featured collections, and recommendations (Recommended For You).
You'll also find options to browse by Series, Movies, HBO, Sports, and What's New (if available).
To get to the Home screen:
TV device: Choose the Home icon
.Computer: Open the Browse menu
(upper left), then choose Home.Phone or tablet: Choose the Home icon

Browse by brand: Choose Categories (Browse menu, left edge), find the Brand Spotlight row, then choose a brand you'd like (e.g., HBO, DC, HGTV, Magnolia).
Browse by genre: Choose Categories (Browse menu, left edge), find the Browse by Genre row, then choose the genre you'd like (e.g., Action, Comedy, Reality).
Browse the Top 10: To browse the most popular new releases, find the Top 10 Series and Top 10 Movies rows.
Browse by channels: To browse live TV channels (Standard and Premium plans), find the Channels row.
Recommended For You & Because You Watched (recommendations): Recommended For You and Because You Watched are rows on the Home screen with show and movie recommendations based on what you've watched in the past. You can start watching something from this row or you can add a show or movie recommendation to My List to watch later.
To help you find programming you might like, choose the Bell icon 
in the upper-right corner (phones and tablets only).
Here you'll find personalized suggestions just for you. If you find something interesting, choose the Menu icon 
and then Add to My List or More Info (or you can also choose Remove).
Note In-app notifications are only available with Adult profiles.
In My Stuff, you can find My List and Continue Watching, and My Purchases (pay-per-view purchases). Choose the My Stuff icon 
to find what you've added to My List and what you can continue watching.
Looking for a particular show or movie? If you know what you want to watch, you can use Search. Choose the Search icon 
and then type any of the following:
a series name
a movie title
a brand (e.g., "HBO")
a genre (e.g., "comedy")
a keyword (e.g., "renovation")
an actor or actress
a creator, director, or writer
an episode title
As you type, you'll find the most relevant or popular results.
Search results only include series and movies that can be watched by the active profile.
Apple TV: Using Siri dictation
You can use speech-to-text to search for shows or movies on your Apple TV.
Open HBO Max on your Apple TV and choose the Search icon
.Press and hold the microphone button on your remote.
Speak your search term into the remote.
You can search HBO Max by title, genre, actors, and more.
