Chromecast HBO Max to your TV
If you have the Standard or Premium plan, you can use Chromecast to cast HBO Max from your phone, tablet, or computer to your TV.
What you need
Chromecast (2nd or 3rd gen), Chromecast Ultra, or a TV with Chromecast built-in
(If you have a Chromecast with Google TV, you can use the HBO Max app.)
An Android phone or tablet, an Apple iPhone or iPad, or a computer with the Chrome browser
Standard or Premium plan
The HBO Max app is the easiest way to stream HBO Max on your TV. Check the app store on your TV or go to Supported devices.
Mobile plan (in select countries): With the Mobile plan, Chromecast isn't available.
Which device are you casting from?
Here's how to cast HBO Max from your phone or tablet to your TV:
Make sure the phone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
Open HBO Max and choose the Google Cast button

Choose the device that you want to cast to.
Start watching something.
To stop casting, choose the Cast button again and then Disconnect.

Here's how to cast HBO Max from your computer to your TV:
Make sure your computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
Open the Chrome browser on your computer and sign in at HBOMax.com.
Click the Google Cast button

Choose the device that you want to cast to.
Start watching something.
To stop casting, choose the Cast button again and then Disconnect.

Troubleshooting
If the Google Cast button is missing, you may need to adjust your iOS settings. Here's how:
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, then scroll down and select HBO Max.
Make sure Bluetooth and Local Network are both turned on.
Close HBO Max and reopen the app.
It may take a minute for the Cast button to appear.
