Ads on HBO Max
If you subscribe to the Basic with Ads plan, ads will play before and during on-demand shows and movies. When an ad break starts, the number of ads in the ad break appears on screen. There's also a timer that counts down to the end of the ad. Ad breaks are marked on the progress bar when you pause playback.
Besides this, all plans may include content with sponsorship and product placement, which will be identified in accordance with applicable legislation, as well as program trailers.
Stream without ads
To stream on-demand shows and movies without ads, change your plan to the Standard or Premium plan. To skip program trailers that play before a show or movie, choose the Skip button.

In HBO Max, do one of the following:
Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Subscription.
TV device: Choose the Settings icon
and then Subscription.(Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)

If you have the Basic with Ads plan, you can change your plan to Standard or Premium to watch shows and movies on demand without ads.

Some program trailers play before shows and movies. These trailers let you know about other programming on HBO Max and can be skipped. To skip program trailers, choose the Skip button.
