How do I subscribe to HBO Max?
You can sign up on your device or through a third-party provider.

Subscribing in Myanmar
You can't sign up at HBOMax.com in Myanmar. Instead, you'll need to subscribe to HBO Max through the Google or Samsung app store.
Are you a new or returning HBO Max subscriber?
Open HBO Max and choose Subscribe Now.
Choose a subscription plan and billing period, then continue.
Complete the account form and choose Create Account. You'll sign in with this info.
Follow the on-screen instructions to subscribe.
Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch HBO Max.
Note Check with your app store to find out which payment methods are accepted. Not all payment methods are accepted for recurring subscriptions.
Now, you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any supported device. Your subscription will auto-renew on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Personalize your profile
Android only: The first time you use a new Adult profile, you can personalize your experience by choosing your favorite genres, brands, shows, and movies. To get started, choose Let's Go. If you don't want to share your preferences, choose Skip to start streaming. You can update your favorites on your phone, tablet, or computer by choosing the preference selector when you edit a profile.
Open HBO Max and sign in to your HBO Max account. Can't sign in?
Choose Renew Subscription.
Choose a subscription plan and billing period, then continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions to subscribe.
Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch HBO Max.

Complete the account form, then continue.
Enter your email and create a password.
Move down and choose Create Account. You'll sign in with this info.
'Check your email and password' message?
Choose Try Again to go back and reenter your email and password, or choose Sign In and try signing in with your email address.
Follow the on-screen instructions to subscribe.
Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch HBO Max.
Now you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any supported device. Your subscription will auto-renew on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Sign up through a provider
Subscription plans vary by provider. For a complete list of providers, go to HBO Max providers.
Troubleshooting
If you get this message, there may already be an HBO Max account with the email address you entered.
In this case, do one of the following:
Sign in. Sign in using the email address you entered on the 'Create Your Account' screen. If you have trouble signing in, try resetting your password.
Enter another email address. Enter a different email address for your HBO Max account.
If you're still having trouble subscribing, contact us.
If you get this message, choose Try Again to go back and reenter your mobile number, or choose Sign In and try signing in with your mobile number.
You should get a new text message after entering your mobile number. If you didn't get a text message, try the following:
Make sure the mobile number you entered is correct.
Choose Get New Code to send another text message. You should get a new text message within a couple minutes.
Make sure your phone can receive text messages (check your cell phone signal strength and make sure Airplane mode is turned Off).
Make sure your phone is not set to block messages from unknown senders.
Try restarting your phone.
If the 6-character code isn't working, here are some things to try:
Try using a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).
Try using a private or incognito browser window.
Enter the code from your TV on your computer instead of your phone (or vice versa).
Try signing up on a different device.
Try signing out and then back in again. Here's how:
In HBO Max, do one of the following:
Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then choose Sign Out.
TV device: Choose the Settings icon
and then Sign Out.
Sign in to HBO Max and try to watch something.
If this doesn't help, go to Fix an HBO Max subscription issue.
If you're signing up at HBOMax.com, go to Can't add a payment method.
If you're signing up through the HBO Max app, check with your app store to find out which payment methods are accepted. Not all payment methods are accepted for recurring subscriptions.
If you're signing up through another provider, check with them to find out what payment methods they accept.
Sometimes we'll ask you to solve a puzzle to help keep your account secure. If you're having trouble with the Captcha puzzle challenge, choose Restart to start the challenge over.
You can also choose Audio Challenge to secure your account another way.
If you get this message, you may have signed up for an HBO Max account in another country or region with the email address you entered. To fix this issue, do one of the following:
Enter another email address. Enter a different email address for your HBO Max account.
Change your account email. Sign in at HBOMax.com/account and change your email to a different email address. Then, go back to the Create Your Account screen and enter your original email address.
