Sign in to HBO Max
Here's how to sign in.
New Unitel subscription?
If you get HBO Max through Unitel, you need to Activate your HBO Max subscriptionbefore you can start streaming.
Choose the device you're using:
Here's how to sign in to the HBO Max app:
Open HBO Max and choose Sign In.
Already signed in? Choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out.
Enter your HBO Max account email and choose Continue.
Enter your password and choose Sign in.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
Need to switch accounts? To sign in to a different HBO Max account, choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.
Troubleshooting
If you get this message, try signing in without your password. Here's how:
When prompted for your password, choose get a code instead.
Check your inbox for an email sent by HBO Max (email subject: Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code). This email should arrive within a few minutes. Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam). Didn't get the email?
Enter the 6-digit code from your email.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
Make sure your account has an active HBO Max subscription. For help with this, go to Fix a subscription issue.
If you get a 'Your device time is out of sync' error on your phone or tablet, make sure the date and time are correct on your device. For help, go to Google’s Set date & time article or Apple’s iPhone: Change time or iPad: Change time article.
Sometimes we'll ask you to solve a puzzle to help keep your account secure. If you're having trouble with the Captcha puzzle challenge, choose Restart to start the challenge over.
You can also choose Audio Challenge to access your account another way.

Go to HBOMax.com/login on your computer.
Already signed in? Choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out.
Enter your HBO Max account email and choose Continue.
Enter your password and choose Sign in.

Open HBO Max and choose Sign In.
Already signed in? Choose the Settings icon
(lower left) and then Sign Out.
Now, choose a TV sign-in option:
Scan the QR code on your TV to sign in. Here's how:
Stay on the TV screen with the QR code while you grab your phone or computer.
Do one of the following:
Open your phone's camera app and point your camera at the QR code on your TV. Then, tap the link that appears on your phone.
-or-
On your phone or computer, go to HBOMax.com/signin. Then, enter the 6-digit code from your TV. Code not working?
Now, on your phone or computer:
Enter your HBO Max account email and then choose Continue.
Enter your password and choose Sign in.
On your TV, choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

TV code not working?
If the 6-digit code isn't working, here are some things to try:
Open a private or incognito browser window and then go to HBOMax.com/signin.
Try signing in another way (e.g. choose Use HBO Max Mobile App).
Try using a different supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).
Sign in on your TV using the HBO Max app on your phone or tablet. Here's how:
On your phone or tablet, open HBO Max and sign in (if needed). Keep the HBO Max app open and active.
Then, on your TV device:
On the Sign In screen, choose Use HBO Max Mobile App (on the left).
(This option is not available on all TV devices.)
Stay on the Sign In screen while you grab your phone or tablet.
Now, on your phone or tablet:
Go back to HBO Max and choose Allow when asked if your TV can sign in to your HBO Max account.
You'll be signed in on your TV.
Go back to your TV, choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
No sign-in prompt?
Make sure you're signed in to HBO Max on your mobile device.
Make sure your mobile device and TV device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Close and reopen HBO Max on your mobile device.
Try signing in another way: Use a Code or Use Email Address.
Sign in on your TV using your TV remote. Here's how:
On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use Email Address (on the left).
Enter your HBO Max account email and choose Continue. To open the on-screen keyboard, move the selection to Email Address and press the select button on your remote.
Do one of the following:

Choose Use Password Instead, then enter your account password and choose Sign In.
