How can I cancel my HBO Max subscription?
You can cancel your HBO Max subscription at any time.
If you want to cancel your subscription, you can choose for the cancellation to become effective either:
- On your next billing date and you will continue to have access to your subscription until this date; or
- Before your next billing date. This means cancellation will take effect within 3 business days of your request to cancel your subscription, and you will lose access to your subscription from the date that cancellation takes effect.

You must tell us whether you want your cancellation to be effective on your next billing date, or before your next billing date, as well as your name and your email address used when you signed up to HBO Max.
If you purchased your HBO Max subscription through a third party, including via an app store or your internet, mobile or TV provider, you will need to end your subscription directly with that third party, in accordance with your agreement with that third party.

Account Settings
You can also cancel your subscription with effect on your next billing date, by going to your HBO Max Account Settings and selecting Cancel Your Subscription. If you cancel your subscription via your Account Settings, you will continue to have access to your subscription until your next billing date and will not receive a refund.
Withdrawal rights
In addition to the above cancellation rights, you may cancel your HBO Max subscription or add-on within 14 days of you receiving email confirmation of your purchase. You may cancel your purchase of PPV Content within 14 days of purchase, provided you request to cancel at least 2 business days before the scheduled service date of the PPV Content.
If you are a senior citizen, new immigrant or person with disabilities, you may cancel your HBO Max subscription, add-on or PPV content within 4 months of you receiving email confirmation of your purchase, provided that before you made the purchase, you had contacted us with respect to HBO Max subscription, add-on or PPV content and we had responded.
If you request immediate access to PPV content, you will be asked to aqree that you understand that you will lose any right to withdraw and you will lose any right to a refund once you gain access to the relevant PPV content. In the case of live events, this means you will lose any applicable statutory withdrawal rights as soon as you gain access to the coverage of the event.
